For those of you that are unfamiliar with the Ruin-Nation project, allow me to explain a bit. The Ruin-Nation project was NOT meant to be an add-on or "mod" for ANY pre-existing game that exists. Eventhough such had been brought up and rumored at various points throughout the time that this project was alive. Instead it was meant to become a stand-alone game that would have been marketed upon completion. It was being designed and created from the ground up by a group of gaming fans that were getting absolutely nothing in return for all of their hard work UNLESS the project made it to market or got bought out by a true gaming company.
The features that were to be included in this game were many. So many in fact, that I can't seem to remember them all. But, I will tell you about what I do remember. We wanted a vehicular combat game similar to Carmageddon 2 and/or Twisted Metal that would allow you to exit your character from the vehicle and use weapons in person to person combat, person to vehicle combat, ambushes, etc... in a harsh post-apocalyptic game of survival. That's all that there was to the original idea and that was pretty much where it stayed. We never changed any of that. But, we did add to it.
